You keep seeing advertisements for water softeners on Facebook, or maybe you heard someone talking about their new water softener at the hair salon. Now you're wondering ... should I buy a water softener?
There are a few things we will review when thinking about the benefits a water softener has and if your home needs one.
1. Hard Water Stains
Do you notice hard water stains on your appliances in your home - maybe in your shower or on your sink. The stains can be unaesthetic when you want a clean and crisp look to your house. Not only can hard water stains hurt the eye, but did you know that hard water can decrease the life of your appliances? The hard water contains small minerals that break down and erode the insides of your appliances faster. If you are noticing hard water stains, that is a sign you need a water softener. You already paid so much for your home. Protect your investment!
2. Hair and Skin
Did you know that a water softener can help improve your skin and hair? It can! When you remove the minerals from the water, it literally softens the water, so it helps to reduce dryness in hair and skin. When we first bought our house, I noticed that my hair felt dry and tough after taking a shower, no matter how much conditioner I used. After putting in the softener, not only do I use half the amount of soap, conditioner, and shampoo that I used to, but my hair feels soft and flowing in the shower.
3. Saves Money
Goodness, sinks can be expensive! Washers, sinks, and shower appliances are costly to repair - any appliance really. If you want to protect your investment and take the precautionary measure to avoid paying for avoidable repairs, buy a water softener. You save money by extending the longevity of your appliances. You save money by using less product such as soaps, shampoos, and conditioners. A water softener is an investment, and it is one that can ultimately save you hundreds if not thousands in repairs in the end.
There are so many benefits to having a water softener installed in your home. If you are considering whether your home should have one, reach out to us today. We would be happy to test your water hardness level for free and discus options.
